This Plant Manager is part of a succession plan. My client is seeking the right candidate to work side by side with the current Plant Manager and see them to retirement over the next 12 – 18 months.

This individual will ultimately assume full P&L accountabilities and performance for the operation.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for manufacturing operations, holding managers accountable to achieve monthly and annual targets in service, quality, cost, safety & other key performance indicators. The Plant Manager will serve as the leader and catalyst for implementing Lean Enterprise principles, tools, and techniques within the plant. The Plant Manager will be responsible for the preparation of annual operating budgets, business plans for the plant and Provide reports to the corporate office as required. This position will have responsibility for the management of talent through good practice, employee appraisal systems, implementation of compensation and benefit programs, communication systems and performance management techniques.

Requirements:

• Advanced training in Lean Manufacturing, 5s, SMED & other continuous improvement methodologies.
• BS in Engineering or Business preferred but not required.
• 10++ years of increasing responsibility in manufacturing leadership roles. Manufacturing experience an asset.
• Strong financial acumen, understanding of operating costs and P&L measures.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding performance indicators with an “on time, on budget” mindset.
• Fully bilingual French / English – MANDATORY. Location - Quebec City, QC.
